An economic development project which will be the first of two phases that will expand the local operations of Pafford Emergency Medical Services got an assist from the Hope City Board of Directors here Tuesday.

“We’re expanding our regional headquarters, bringing our billing center, adding our workman’s compensation, and adding a dispatch center, as well. We have one in Louisiana, and we are building an additional one here,” Pafford-Gresham said. “We are in about a 5,000-square foot building now, and we are adding 6,500-square feet to it. And, we look to have about 30 more employees, which is what we currently have in this building.” She said that the goal for occupancy of the new facility is the first of the year.
