SUSSEX COUNTY, N.J. — A man was arrested after a volunteer EMT said the man groped her during a medical transport from jail.
Sussex Daily Voice reported that Byram Township Police responded to an allegedly drunk man who would not leave a gas station parking lot despite being asked several times. Officers arrested and charged Amrit Singh with defiant trespassing.
Once Singh was processed, he was transported in an ambulance by Lakeland Emergency Squad to a local hospital for treatment. The volunteer EMT told police officers that during the transport, Singh “groped her several times in intimate areas.”
Singh was charged with criminal sexual contact and is being held without bail at Sussex County Jail.
