Director of Operations, Mississippi

Daniel brings over 30 years of experience across a wide range of emergency response

disciplines. His career began in 1992 with the Reservoir Fire Department, and in 1998 he joined

the Mississippi Fire Academy. During his tenure as an Instructor, he provided training in various

areas including firefighting, specialized rescue, company officer development, EMT, and fire

investigation.

Daniel retired in December 2023 as the Deputy Director of the Mississippi Fire Academy,

capping a distinguished career in public safety education and leadership. In addition to his work

in fire service, he has served as a Deputy Sheriff and completed two terms as a County

Supervisor for Rankin County, demonstrating his commitment to both emergency response and

public service.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Administration from the University of Memphis and is a

proud graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program, one of the

most prestigious leadership programs in the field. Daniel is a Nationally Registered Paramedic.
