Chief of Staff Mississippi and Louisiana

Terry Wages is the former Executive Director of the Mississippi State Fire Academy, retiring

in 2023 after an esteemed 31-year career in the fire service. He currently serves as Chief of Staff

for Pafford EMS, where he works closely with state and local governments to ensure the

highest standard of care is provided to the communities they serve.

Terry is a Nationally Registered Paramedic and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in

Emergency Management, as well as a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and

Emergency Management.

Throughout his career, Terry has been a dedicated leader and advocate for the emergency

services profession. He has proudly served as both Vice President and President of the

Mississippi Fire Chiefs Association and is a lifetime member of both the Mississippi Fire

Chiefs Association and the Mississippi Fire Fighters Association.
